My Story

Prasanna's father worked in a sweets business in Gujarat but passed away in a rail accident when she was just 6 months old. Her mother moved to a village to live with her parents. Later, her husband's friend revealed a secret: Prasanna had a heart problem since birth. The mother-in-law suggested killing the baby due to the health issue, but the IGP social worker along with the women's group leader intervened. The women's group, along with an IGP social worker, prevented harm to the baby and threatened police action against the family. They also arranged for heart surgery with the District Collector's support. The women's group recommended IGP’s support for Prasanna.
