Rescued from forced child labor
Sweeping the house.
To be a teacher.
Motto & Pathlu (an Indian cartoon).
Before her birth, Sraghvi’s parents were living happily with a son they doted on. He was sent to a very nice school with good food and excellent facilities. He got almost everything he wanted. Then Sragvhi was born. Her parents neglected her from the beginning because she was a girl. She never had proper food and she cried all the time. The only person who cared about Sraghvi was her grandmother.
Her grandmother was the one who sent her to school – even though it wasn’t nearly as good a school as her brother’s. Her grandmother was the only one who advocated for Sragvhi. But after second grade, Sragvhi’s parents forced her to drop out of school and sent her to be a laborer. Her grandmother didn’t want this to happen, so she contacted IGP’s team and informed us of the situation.
Your support will guarantee Sragvhi an education. She will be loved and cared for properly. She will not be forced to do illegal child labor but will instead be able to just be a child. She will be shown that she is just as valuable as boys and she deserves a bright, independent future.
