My Story

In a home that finds abuse of girls socially acceptable, Sahina lives in fear of what each day will bring. Her mother is a victim of domestic violence, while her father treats women with no respect. The home is filled with verbal and physical abuse directed at the Jahina from her father. Her brothers attend school and receive proper nutrition while Sahina and her sister do not attend school and are neglected.

Sahina is at risk for both early child marriage and a lack of proper development. Without the help of our social workers, she would have been married off at an illegal age.

Your sponsorship will allow for Sahina to live in a safe home with a nurturing environment where she will receive an education. She will also receive counseling and proper nutrition. Most of all she will be taught that she is loved, valued and that her life has immeasurable worth.
