My Story

Saswitha doesn’t have her parents in her life. Her father was an alcoholic who abused her mother, and when she was unable to bear the abuse any longer, her mother ended her life. After the loss of her mother, her father started drinking more heavily and abusing Saswitha even further. Then, a year ago, he died in an accident, and Saswitha was sent to live with her grandparents. 

They often neglected and mistreated her at home. She was forced to work in order to provide for herself and her grandparents, instead of studying. She knew her grandparents wanted to marry her off, but she still dreamt of going to school.

After rescue, our social workers placed Saswitha in a good school to complete her education. Your sponsorship will support her as she works to achieve her goals. She now has people who care, protect, and invest her in her overall development. Your sponsorship is helping Saswitha realize her true capacity to finish her education and have a better life.
