My Story

Deepika’s parents have always favored her older brother. Their favor began to shift towards neglect and abuse as Deepika’s father blamed Deepika for their troubles and believe that she was bad luck to their family. Instead of making sure his daughter is in school, Deepika’s father removed her from class and sent her to do hard manual labor to earn extra income to support her family.

Your sponsorship allows Deepika to go back to school and live in a safe home where she is protected from verbal abuse, physical abuse, and neglect. She is safe, has access to nutritious food and education, and most importantly, she is being told truth: she is loved, she is valuable, she is worthy.
