My Story

Akshara’s mother passed away due to complications from her pregnancy, leaving Akshara’s father as the sole provider for Akshara and her brothers. Uninterested in raising a girl, Akshara’s father did not care for Akshara the way he should have.

Rather than going to school, Akshara stayed home to do chores around the house so that her father did not have to spend money on her education and could instead support his sons. Sometimes, Akshara was forced to do hard manual labor during the day to provide additional income for her family.

If you choose to sponsor Akshara, you will play a part in providing her with the opportunity to create a better life for herself. Under IGP’s care, she will receive a strong education, the ability to have a better childhood, and consistent care for her needs. With your help, Akshara will begin to know that she is loved and valued.
