My Story

Sai Ananya is the youngest of two children in her household. She didn’t receive proper care and attention since her parents favored their son. They believe that Sai Ananya brought bad luck to the family by being a girl. Her parents also believed that there was no need to educate young girls, and would rather focus on Sai Ananya’s brother’s education. 

Her father’s frustrations with her turned into harsh physical abuse. He wasn’t interested in caring for her and only provided food and education for his son. After she was removed from school, Sai Ananya spent her days completing chores around the house. 

Your sponsorship allows Sai Ananya to go to school and live in a safe home where she is protected from neglect, physical abuse, and illegal child marriage. She is safe, has access to nutritious food and education, and most importantly, she is being told truth: she is loved, she is valuable, she is worthy!
