My Story

Jasmin Shuri’s parents only wanted sons, not daughters. After Jasmin Shuri was born, they refused to raise her. They were overwhelmed with disappointment that she was even born. So they handed Jasmin Shuri over to her grandparents. After a while, her grandparents began to age and could not care for Jasmin Shuri sufficiently any longer. They contacted our social workers who were able to confront Jasmin Shuri’s parents for their negligence and intervene on her behalf.

Your sponsorship allows Jasmin Shuri to go to school and live in a safe home where she is protected from neglect and abandonment. She is safe, has access to nutritious food and education, and most importantly, she is being told truth: she is loved, she is valuable, she is worthy.
