My Story

Prameela’s parents severely neglected her for being a girl. She was often refused affection and sufficient amounts of food. Her parents believed it was a waste of time to educate her and forced her to take care of her brother and to do all of the household work. Concerned for Prameela’s wellbeing, Prameela’s uncle reached out to IGP’s social workers for help. After learning about her situation, IGP's social workers were able to confront Prameela’s parents for their negligence and intervene on her behalf. Your sponsorship ensures Prameela is enrolled in school and receiving an education. It also provides her with nutritious food and ongoing counseling support from IGP’s social workers who are teaching her the value of being a girl.
