My Story

Gnana Chandrika lost her father in a road accident. Her mother, a daily wage laborer in the fields, mistreats Chandrika and blames her for her husband's death. Chandrika is forced to work as a farm laborer to support the family, and her mother believes there's no point in educating her since she's a girl and she would be married soon and will leave to her in-laws house. Chandrika faces discrimination and neglect at home based on her gender, often being beaten, and scolded. However, with support from the Invisible Girl Project (IGP), Chandrika can have a happy childhood and receive quality education. Joining the child sponsorship program would provide Chandrika with care, encouragement, a safe environment, and the opportunity for a bright future.
