Nafsiya Suhana, an 8-year-old girl, grapples with the harsh reality of discrimination and abuse within her family due to traditional beliefs that favor male children. As the only child of daily wage parents working on an agricultural farm, her existence is tainted by the unfair preference for a son. The family, unable to have more children, unjustly blames Nafsiya for this misfortune.
The intervention of social workers becomes crucial when they witness Nafsiya working at home instead of attending school. Confronting the parents, the social workers are met with resistance and an explanation that the child's mother's illness necessitated Nafsiya's involvement in household chores.
Overcoming their initial reluctance, the parents agree to send Nafsiya to school, marking a positive turning point in her life. However, it becomes evident that continuous visits and guidance from IGP social workers are essential to help the parents understand the significance of education and cultivate a loving and respectful relationship with their daughter.
