Sharmila, born into a family of farm laborers, faces severe neglect and abuse due to her gender. Her parents consider her birth as a curse and attempted to abandon her when she was just three months old. Despite being saved, she continues to suffer from discrimination, malnutrition, and physical abuse. However, with the intervention of the IGP program, Sharmila has hope for a brighter future. IGP Social workers, alerted by concerned volunteers, confronted her parents about their mistreatment. Despite initial resistance, the parents were warned about legal consequences and the need for counseling to change their behavior. Sharmila's well-being will be monitored closely, and she will receive the care and support she deserves through the IGP program, ensuring she has the opportunity for education and a chance to thrive.
