My Story

Anatha lives in Andhra Pradesh, India. She lives in a slum in deplorable conditions and suffers from neglect and emotional abuse by her alcoholic father. Her parents rummage through the garbage searching for anything they can sell to make money to provide for their family. As a result of their poverty, Anatha's parents cannot afford to send her to school. Sadly, because the slum they live in has a high rate of alcoholism and incest it is a dangerous place for young girls.   Your sponsorship will allow Anatha to attend school, receive proper nutrition, and counseling as well as regular check-ins by our social workers to ensure she is being well cared for at home.
