Kenamma overcame significant challenges after being rescued from bonded labor and placed in a Shelter Home. Coming from a tribal community where education for girls is discouraged, this marked a turning point in her life.
Now in the 12th grade, she shows resilience despite modest academic performance. The home provides her with purposeful routines and counseling to support her emotional growth. However, she struggles with isolation and self-confidence, fearing rejection from her family and community.
