Subalakshmi’s life was dramatically impacted when her mother was tragically killed by her father, who was subsequently imprisoned. She and her siblings were placed under the care of a Shelter Home.
In the 10th grade, the child struggled academically, with average performance. Despite her outward stability, she faced emotional turmoil. Tasks like watering plants were intended to help her develop responsibility, but her emotions often remained unstable, hindering her focus on studies. Though she attended counseling, the scars from her father’s abandonment and imprisonment lingered, leaving her unable to trust others and feeling isolated. As a result, she continued to struggle with neglect and emotional pain, despite the care provided at the home.
