Usha’s life was shaped by ongoing issues between her parents, leading to her father leaving the family and her mother remarrying, abandoning her. Her grandfather handed her over to CWC Chennai, and she was initially placed at BALAMANDIR in T. Nagar before being transferred to Home of Love Charitable Trust, Alamathi.
Now in 8th grade, her academic performance is average. As an introvert, she struggles to interact and form relationships, with the neglect and abandonment from her parents leaving deep emotional wounds. Since arriving at the home, neither parent nor relative has visited her, which has further intensified her psychological distress. To help her cope, the home offers counseling and creative activities to improve her emotional well-being and communication skills. However, her emotional scars make it hard for her to engage in her studies or believe that love and care from her family are possible.
