My Story

Sudhakar longed for sons to carry on his name. While he was thrilled when Subhashini gave birth to a boy, his joy turned to anger when their second child, Supraja, was a girl. Mocked by his friends and furious over losing a bet, he refused to accept her, often beating both Supraja and Subhashini.

When Sudhakar tried to harm the baby, neighbors intervened and saved her. Subhashini often hid Supraja at neighbors’ homes, fearing for her life. A village volunteer noticed the situation and called in our social worker. After confronting Sudhakar with the law and community support, he reluctantly agreed to change.

Supraja’s life was saved, but her future depends on continued support.
