My Story

Anitha is partially orphaned and lives with her mother, brother, and grandparents in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. Her mother, a dairy worker, does not make enough money to provide for her children. Most of the money she makes goes towards rent. Because Anitha is a girl, her mother believes she does not need to be educated and has not enrolled her in school next year. Instead, Anitha's brother will go to school since the belief is that he will support the family when he is older. Anitha made straight A+ in school last year. She is bright and wants to become a police officer. Your sponsorship will allow Anitha to live in a safe home, go to school, receive proper nutrition, sleep on a bed, and bathe daily. She will be taught she is valued and valuable.
