My Story

Rishitha was born to poor parents who struggled to earn sufficient wages as they worked on the farm each day. 

After she was born, Rishitha’s father and grandparents believed they were cursed because she was a girl. Subsequently, they began to neglect her and see her as solely a burden on the family. Because of this, Rishitha’s mother was also beaten for giving birth to a girl. 

Our social workers learned about Rishitha’s situation and committed to regularly monitor Rishitha and her mother. Your sponsorship ensures Rishitha is given the resources necessary for her growth and development as well as a safe environment to live!
